What area do you guys cover?
We currently cover the North Shore on Mon, Wed & Friday and the City Tuesday and Thursday.
If you are outside this area we operate a time/km travelled charge from our Belmont base so for example.
You are in Silverdale and you want your bikes looked at. The round trip for us is 30min each way (1hr) or 60km ($1.90/km).
So the additional Extra cost on top of the service will be $100.00+gst
If you wish to have your service at a time or place that we currently don't cover contact us directly
and maybe we can arrange this for you. [email protected]
What happens if you cant fix the bike on site?
We will alway try and get the bike fixed on site however, we also know that sometimes it doesn't goes to plan.
We will give you the option to either leave the bike with us to complete or we will leave it with you and return to complete the job at a convenient time. (note that depending on the reason for the bike not being completed there may be an additional call out fee to cover)
2. Can I buy the parts I need on line and get you guys to fit them?
Yes that is not a problem, provided you have purchased the correct parts for your bike we will happily fit them for you.
We will even professionally assemble your latest internet purchase for you so that it is safe to ride!
3. There is something wrong with the bike but I'm not sure what the problem is ? Can you just have a look and let me know what the issue is?
Sure , that is what the "not too sure what I want / need " service is all about.
4. In your service packages are there any parts included?
Yes.... the most important part...our time and expertiese ....but as to bike parts no.
The service costs are for Labour only.
5. Can I watch you work and learn something while you fix the bike?
Hey no problem but remember your paying for our time to fix your bike.
We do have an option to arrange a traing session so why not discuss that when we are there.
6. Do you work on E. Bikes?
Yes we work on all bikes . E. Bikes are just a bike with an electric motor. The bike parts still need just as much care if not more than normal bikes. We do not however work on the motors/batteries or control units. Most motors are sealed units so if it is a motor / controller issue we will usually need to refer to the original motor , supplier, manufacturer for parts or replacement units.
7. How do I know you wont try and charge me for stuff I dont really need?
Well, for one we are only as good as our reputation and in New Zealand Bad News travels much faster than good news.
So our policy is to be as straight up with our clients as we would like people to be with us. So if a part is worn but not broken, sure we will tell you, but the decision to replace it is up to you. We want you to keep coming back to us so it is in our best interests to do the best we can.
8. I use my bike to commute to work can you come to my work to service it?
Yes absolutley better still tell your collegues that we are coming in and they can arrange to have their bikes done at the same time. We can even arrange company deals for you. e.mail [email protected] to enquire.
9. What if I can't be there when you come to fix my bike.?
If you can't be there when we come round let us know if there is a safe place where we can access the bike.
You may be comfortable leaving the bike around the back of your property or maybe with a neighbour.
We are happy if you leave us instructions by e.mail or txt e.g. "Hi Bike in garage, key under the frog statue in back porch."
Just please be very clear we do not accept any responsibility for bikes left out unsecured. You may even chain the bike to your property and give us the code or directions for key access....happy either way.
10. Can I borrow one / some of your tools?
This gets asked at events mostly ......
Please dont ask us this question , it is kind of like asking the "coffee guy" hey mate can I just pop in your van and make myself a coffee....
